I am Alessio Grassi and I am an Italian freelance translator.
I provide linguistic services such as translation, editing, proofreading and localization for the language combinations English-Italian and Spanish-Italian.
I work on projects concerning different fields, such as IT, MRO, energy, sports and tourism.
After years of translation experience, I possess the required competences and tools to offer quality linguistic services.
All started at the time of the classical high school, when I came into contact with the ancient Greek and Latin languages. I have always loved languages because studying them I have learned the history of the related nations, the links between European languages and people.
For this reason, today, when I think about words, I see images, values, stories and roots.
I began to practice English at school and during a work experience in Ireland, and then I decided to enrol in the course of Language Mediation and International Communication at the University of Chieti-Pescara. I was attracted by the translator profession and soon I started to work for translation agencies, also getting experience by providing voluntary services to humanitarian organizations or for small private projects.
Despite my Liberal Arts education, I started to specialize in technical translation, since I had worked as computer technician for three years and I have always liked to study how things are assembled and how to repair them. 
Consequently, I got a Master in Specialized translation, thanks to which I could deepen the translation of technical texts such as maintenance manuals and technical sheets; moreover I have gained a good understanding of the legal, medical and tourism translation fields.
My passion for Information Technology allowed me to easily enter the software translation world, but at the same time I keep updating also in other fields such as energy, environment, sports and tourism.
